The work of the West Texas Street Utility Relocation Project is located in West Texas Street, between Beck Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue in Fairfield, California as well as Pennsylvania Avenue between West Texas Street and Broadway Street.

General Work Description: The work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and supplies to verify existing utility locations, abandon in place 12-inch to 16-inch existing asbestos cement water main, install new 12-inch PVC and DIP main by trench method, replace existing water services, install new 8-inch and 12- inch water main connections to side street mains, install new gate valves, install new fire hydrant and lateral assemblies, remove existing gate valve boxes, cut and cap existing mains where necessary, connect new sanitary sewers to existing sanitary sewer manholes, install new 8-inch PVC sewer main, install 12-inch VCP sanitary sewer and casing by trench and horizontal auger bore method, install new and replacement 48-inch and 60-inch sanitary sewer manholes, remove or abandon existing sanitary sewers to allow for installation of new, install , remove existing sewer and install new 18-inch VCP sanitary sewer, cut and cap existing and reconnect 6- inch and 8-inch sanitary sewer laterals/side sewers, pipeline testing and disinfection, construction staking, trench dewatering, bypass pumping, traffic control, temporary and permanent trench restoration, landscape restoration, removal and replacement of sidewalk, curb and gutter as affected, pavement marking and striping restoration, resetting of survey monuments affected, restoration of all affected utilities and electrical power and signal wires and conduit, and all other work shown on the plans and described in specifications in accordance with the Contract Documents.
